Introducing ‘Dlinner’

5374_227114380709_227114220709_8141623_1647762_n On the trip home from our latest Kampin’ effort the council of elders (Lance, Mike and Matt) noted that on this trip we wasted an huge amount of food.  Way more than normal.  On most trips we don’t care because we give all of our excess back to the earth by burning it but this trip was out of control.  Prior to the trip who would have thought that a 15lb prime rib would be too much for 7 guys but days of large meals will do that to you.  In fact this year Edgar came through with a giant Paella and  no one was able to really enjoy with such full gullets.

So we decided to officially combine dinner and lunch into one meal called dlinner.  Going forward each day will have 2 meals and here are some key advantages:

  1. It will be less likely that Bo Derek will fuck up a meal or miss a meal.
  2. The evening meal will be even more special when you are hungry after a long day of sittin’.
  3. Meals will not be missed due to being passed out in the dirt as much.
  4. Mike will be awake to make his meal.
  5. Dlinner is cool to say and is a kick ass new word.
  6. More time for activities like Homey doll 2.0 and making fun of Mike’s girlfriend on Facebook.

The times will not change, breakfast will still come first thing and dlinner will be served at dusk and in between we can have a constant flow of nibblers, cookies, chips, jerky and MRE’s.

The council is wise. Dlinner is a good idea. Although if past performance is any indication of future results, someone will be passed out through Dlinner too.
